If your phone is rooted, it cannot install the system update normally. But don`t worry, you can recover your phone by flashing the firmware. Then you can install the system update normally.
You can go to Settings>More settings>Backup & Reset to perform Restore(Reset) all settings.
Warmly Tips: Restore(Reset) all settings will restore default system settings and clear the system settings data such as Wi-Fi passwords, the paired Bluetooth devices information. However, it won`t delete app data and the files saved in your phone.
We do not encourage our users to root Vivo phones based on the following reasons:
1. After the phone is rooted, it is easy to mistakenly modify or delete system files, which may cause problems such as crash, reboot.
2. Some illegal programs may gain important information in your phone and reveal your privacywithout your knowledge;
3. The rooted phone cannot install system updates. Forced installation of updates may result in the phone not booting normally;
4. The rooted phone violates our warranty policy and cannot enjoy our warranty service.
Warmly Tips: There is no method to root Vivo phone.
The number of is_root won`t be changed even though it is recovered by flashing the firmware. Please don`t worry, our engineers at service center can help you change it.
Warmly Tips: Wipe data will delete data on your phone. We recommend you back up your important data before performing it.
For the Fullview Display phones:
a. Power off your phone, then press and hold Power button and Volume up button simultaneously until Vivo logo appears to enter Fastboot mode. Select Recovery mode by pressing Volume down button and enter it by pressing Power button;
b. Touch Wipe data>Wipe data>Wipe data. Then select Reboot system to reboot your phone.
For the phones with the 16:9 display screen:
a. Power off your phone, then press and hold Power button and Volume up button simultaneously until Vivo logo appears to enter Recovery mode;
b. Touch Wipe data>Wipe data>Wipe data. Then select Reboot system to reboot your phone(For Funtouch OS 2.0 and lower version, select Recovery mode by pressing Volume downbutton, enter it by pressing Power button. Then select wipe data/factory reset>wipe data>wipe data, and then select reboot system now to reboot your phone).
There are two methods that can help you recover your phone:
1. Flash the firmware for your phone to recover the system;
2. Visit our service center near you, our engineers will help you with it.
Considering the phone safety, Engine mode is not open to the public. If you enter Engine mode accidentally, please don`t perform any operations. Vivo will not be responsible for any damage caused or changes that happen during or after the operations on this interface.
You can download & install AnTuTu Benchmark from Play Store to check if the system of your phone is 64-bit or 32-bit.
You can type *#*#7777#*#* on the dial pad to enter the Developer options interface. Then you will find Running services(Running), click it to check the RAM usage details.
For some phones, you can also go to Settings>RAM & storage space or Settings>More settings>Applications>Running to find the RAM details.
Please don’t worry, it is normal. There are two mainly reasons below:
1. Operation System, some built-in and autostart apps will occupy some of the RAM;
2. System will reserve some RAM to make sure your phone can run smoothly.
If you still worry about it, you can compare to other brand phones.
