This Android Pie based operating software has a lot of cool features and there’s so much more one can do on the phone. Through these tips and tricks, we are trying to show you some best ways to use this phone and get a better user experience. 1. Dark Mode Theme
As the phone comes with the Super AMOLED display, which casts immersive visual effects of dark color and makes them appear better than other colors. Additionally, this theme consumes less battery of the device.
So, if you wish to activate this setting, follow these steps to get the dark theme:
- Go to the ‘Settings’.
- Tap on the ‘Display & Brightness’ option.
- Inside the menu choose the second option i.e. ‘Dark Mode’.
Turning on the dark theme will change background appear black for all native apps like messages, google search bar, contacts, or settings on the device.
2. Smart Motion Options
Smart Motions are very useful features for taking optimum use of your smartphone. One gets options like smart wake, smart turn on/off screen, smart call, smart remind and shake to turn on the flashlight. The smart wake and smart call are the most useful controls.
The smart wake supports unlock, open camera, launch dialer, browse, WhatsApp, Facebook, Email, play and change music quickly of the device with simple gestures.
If you want to experience this feature, here are the steps you need to follow:
- Go to the ‘Settings’.
- Tap on the ‘Smart Motion’
- Select the ‘Smart Wake’
- Turn on all the options that you wish to activate.
Note that every option has its fixed gestures. So, tap on their switch bar to learn their respective functionality.
However, keep in mind that these options are just to wake up the screen. So, if in case you have screen lock activated, destined applications will open only after you have unlocked your phone. Likewise, all other functions like smart turn on/off screen, smart call and other functions will work.
3. Smart Split
Smart Split is the feature for using multiscreen on your phone. It is an intriguing and helpful feature too. Whether you want to use two social applications alongside, this feature enables you to perform it smartly.
If you want to activate it, follow these steps:
- Go to the ‘Settings’
- Tap on the ‘Smart Split’
- Tap and allow the features you wish to grant the permissions
The FunTouch OS offers a smart split screen in two ways i.e. message screen splitting and manual screen splitting.
The message screen splitting works for WeChat, Facebook, Twitter, Whatsapp, and other similar messaging apps. So whenever a new message is received, the message floats on the screen. And tapping on the message splits the screen and opens the text in its native application.
While manual screen splitting allows you to do it manually. It can be done from the shortcuts, recent apps interface or sliding three fingers down on the screen (but only once when this gesture is activated from main settings).
4. One handed Operation
For the times when you are using a widescreen phone and want to go through the interface quickly without using another hand, the one-handed mode is the most useful feature.
Follow these steps to activate the one-handed operation:
- Go to the ‘Settings’.
- From the menu tap on one-handed operation option.
- Tap on the options you wish to use for the operation.
You can use this setting for keypad, password & pattern, and to access the mini screen using gestures. The mini screen is an exact interface but smaller. You can get a detailed review of the settings once you activate it.
5. S Capture
Last but not least, ‘S Capture’ is the most exclusive feature of Vivo S1. This function allows you to take screenshots, funny screenshot long screenshots (expanded from the current screen) and record screen videos conveniently. Unlike other smartphones, S capture facilitates the screen recorder with a microphone, so you can record tutorial videos easily. And the funny screenshot comes with a few filters and options.
You can activate it from the settings or quickly from the shortcuts as well. Follow these steps to grant permission from the main setting menu.
- Go to the ‘Settings’
- Search and tap on the ‘S Capture’ option from the list
- Allow the functions you want for the quick button.
