As by now you would’ve guessed, this article is all about disclosing useful features of V17Pro. So, continue reading and find out how many of these mentioned features you were using or not.
As a part of the default settings of this phone, the navigation bar is fixed on the screen. If you want to enjoy that full view display screen, then customise the navigation bar to navigation gestures.
Follow these steps:
- Go to settings.
- Open ‘System Navigation’.
- Tap & activate the ‘Navigation Gestures’.
- To customise presets, tap on 'gesture operation layout manually'.
Note: Before you go back, learn the gestures properly so that you don’t forget to use the correct gestures.
Let’s say you are moving an image from gallery to another folder or simply swiping the pictures & you hit the delete button. Alas, the file is gone. Well, there can be an exception if you have synced to cloud services. But, what when you haven’t availed backup option?
That's where having recently deleted folder saves you. From this place, you can restore the deleted file anytime for up to 30 days from its deleted date.
Follow these steps:
- Go to the gallery.
- Tap on the hamburger icon.
- Open the settings.
- Tap to enable “Recently Deleted Items”.
Note: We also recommend to activate cloud services as a backup option so that you can retrieve your file even if deleted from that folder too. As vivo smartphone user, you can use preinstalled Google and Vivo cloud services.
From mobility of light in the gadget to incoming call alert; even though the uses of a flashlight have changed, it is still useful. Well, in V17Pro you can use it both ways, but as we have mentioned smartly.
A- Flashlight for Incoming Calls:
- Go to settings.
- Open “More settings”.
- Tap to open “flashlight settings”.
- Enable the slider to turn on the function.
Note: This function would work only when your screen is off.
B- Switch on the Flashlight:
Though the flashlight can be turned on from the shortcut centre, we have the steps to do it more smartly.
Here’s how to do:
- Go to the settings.
- Open the smart motion menu.
- Tap to enable the “Shake to turn on the flashlight” option.
Now, to turn on the flashlight shake your phone and tap on the lock screen button to turn it off.
In today’s time, we all store our information on smartphones. This can be subject to highly personal information, banking details or other concerns. Also, to the matter of privacy when others try to sneak in your social media accounts or gallery while using a smartphone can be irritating. For all such cases, the safe box and app locker helps you to keep your data secured.
Learn how to use app lock:
- Go to settings
- Open “Security & Privacy” from the menu.
- Tap on the “privacy & app encryption”
- Choose from app encryption/ hide app to secure application you want.
- Tap on the slider to select applications you want to encrypt or hide.
Note: The encryption works as a lock that prevents others to open the application from viewing its content. While hidden application can’t be seen and accessed from the main menu.
This feature ensures that you drive safe and don’t get distracted by the incoming calls & notifications. This mode auto-reject calls, mute notification and assesses your speed before you answer the call. Also, this mode allows call notification only when there are multiple calls received from the same number.
Here’s how you can activate it:
- Go to the settings.
- Search and open the “motorbike mode” from the menu.
- Tap and open “Auto reject calls” option.
- Enable the options you find useful according to you.
- Tap and open the “Respond with SMS” option.
- Enable the auto respond with SMS (if you find that useful).
Note: We recommend you to use all options of this mode to increase the safety and efficiency of having a smartphone.
We use many applications in a day and rarely remove them from the background. For times when you hand over your phone to friends and don’t want them to see the contents of your applications, this feature comes to rescue. It prevents the content view of application from the recent apps preview interface.
Learn how to enable it:
- Go to the settings.
- More settings
- Tap on the recent apps.
- Enable the “Blur display” option.
- Once enabled, enable the option of “Blur display of private content” (this prevents viewing encrypted files)
- On the next step, select apps whose content you want to prevent from viewing.
This feature allows maximum use of the screen. The split screen divides the entire screen into two parts and you can use two applications simultaneously. This function is very helpful when you want to text, browse or watch videos at the same time.
Here are the 3 ways to do this:
- Slide three fingers downward to split the screen
- Open the shortcut centre and click on smart split.
- Or tap on the split screen button from the recent app interface
